Steven L. Soignet, M.D.

Steven L. Soignet joined Cross Atlantic Partners as a Venture Partner in 2003. Dr. Soignet is the co-founder of Arcus Ventures (2007), a boutique fund focused on early stage oncology investments.  From 2001 to 2007, he was a Principal of the Arcus Group , a healthcare consulting firm based in NYC.  Formerly, he held a faculty appointment on the Developmental Chemotherapy Service, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, and in the Department of Medicine, Cornell University Medical Center.  He has broad experience in early phase clinical drug development in both hematological and solid tumors which included novel differentiation agents, transcription modulators, cell cycle inhibitors, monoclonal antibodies, vaccines, and cytotoxic chemotherapies.  He was a lead investigator of a Pilot and a large US Multicenter Trial that lead to FDA approval of arsenic trioxide for the treatment of relapsed acute promyelocytic leukemia. Dr. Soignet is a graduate of the University of New Orleans (BS ‘88); LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans (MD ‘92) and completed internal medicine training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and a hematology/oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in NY.
